Kenneth R. Cross, 26, 1430 Donovan Dr., Apt. 303, Chicago Heights with battery such as Juniper 12523 Battery, Juniper LHJBT-H11U Battery, Juniper VSH-H11U Battery, Juniper Allegro CX Battery, Juniper VR-151 Battery, Juniper GP VR151 Battery, Juniper Allegro MX Battery, Juniper Maxell M3614 Battery, Juniper Polaroid PR-632 Battery, Juniper AMX-1 Battery, Juniper AMX-2 Battery, Juniper AMX-5 Battery, was arrested on September 13 and charged with driving while license was suspended, no insurance, open alcohol, and possession of cannabis when police working a roadside sobriety check in the 23400 block of Western Avenue signaled for the vehicle Cross was driving to pull over.
A resident told police that someone attempted to break into a home in the 400 block of Talala Street through a bedroom window on September 17. Someone sleeping inside heard a loud noise. Police found the screen from the window on the ground near the residence.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 200 block of Fir Street on September 18.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 23400 block of South Western Avenue on September 19.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 300 block of Dogwood Street on September 19.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the 3300 block of Western Avenue on September 19.
A silver 2007 Honda Odyssey, Illinois license plate V130551, was reported stolen from the 100 block of Berry Street. The vehicle had been left unlocked, the keys were in the ignition and the motor was running.
Stephanie D. James, 34, 424 Winnebago St., Park Forest, was arrested on September 19 and issued a municipal ticket charging disorderly conduct when police were dispatched to Michelle Obama School, 215 Wilson St., to investigate a report of a disturbance. A juvenile was also arrested and issued a municipal ticket charging battery.
Police responded to the first block of North Arbor Trail on September 19 to investigate a report of harassing phone calls. Police have suspect information and are investigating.
A side door of a detached garage of a residence in the 100 block of Peach Street was discovered forced open and damaged on September 19. Nothing was reported stolen.
A resident in the first block of Washington Court was issued municipal citations on September 19 charging dogs repeatedly disturbing the peace, dogs running at large, and animal license required when police were dispatched to that residence to investigate a report of two dogs running at large.
The front and back license plates, Illinois K943152, of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of 26th Street were reported stolen on September 20.
A $100 bill and an unknown amount of loose change was reported stolen during a residential burglary at a residence in the 300 block of Mohawk Street on September 20.
A catalytic converter was reported stolen from a vehicle parked in the first block of Elm Street on September 21.
Chelsey M. Simmons, 22, 1031 Samson Dr., University Park, was arrested on September 21 and issued a municipal citation charging possession of cannabis when police participating in a roadside sobriety checkpoint in the 23400 block of Western Avenue directed the vehicle Simmons was driving to pull over. Kevin K. Manning Jr., 23, 914 Fiesta Dr., University Park, a passenger in the vehicle, was issued municipal citations charging transportation of open alcohol and possession of cannabis.
Both side rear view mirrors and the windshield of a vehicle parked in the 100 block of Main Street were reported broken and cracked on September 22. Police say there were also multiple dents in the vehicle.
