Moneual Rydis H68 Pro Hybrid Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Moneual Rydis H68 Pro Hybrid Robotic Vacuum Cleaner

Welcome to a Vacuum Cleaner Battery specialist of the iRobot Battery

I plugged in the base station, turned on the H68 Pro, and let it charge for two hours. The battery indicator was solid, meaning it was fully charged. After removing doggie chew toys, Hot Wheels cars, and other assorted objects scattered throughout my living room, it was time to put the H68 Pro to work.

I set the robot to Vacuum Only mode with Turbo (increased suction) enabled and sent it on its way. It began cleaning the area around the base, then headed off to the other side of the living room. It worked in straight lines and had no trouble avoiding furniture. It also did a good job of vacuuming close to the walls, but as we've seen with other robotic vacuums, it left some debris behind in the corners. The cleaner worked for 40 minutes before the voice told me it was "moving toward the charger." Unfortunately, it took a wrong turn into my foyer, and began wandering around trying to get back to the base with battery like iRobot 4978 Battery, iRobot iTouchless AV001A Battery, iRobot iTouchless AV002A Battery, iRobot Roomba 400 Battery, iRobot Roomba 4000 Battery, iRobot Roomba 4100 Battery, iRobot Roomba 4210 Battery, iRobot Roomba 5210 Battery, iRobot Roomba Dirt Dog Battery, iRobot Roomba Intelligent Robotic M-288 Battery, iRobot Roomba Pro Elite Battery, iRobot Roomba Scheduler Battery. It finally ran out of juice and had to be carried back to the charger. After an hour it resumed cleaning the living room, which took another 15 minutes. This time the robot made it safely back to the base when cleaning was completed. It also did an excellent job of vacuuming the rug.

After a full recharge, I added water to the mop assembly and attached it to the robot. I set the cleaning mode to Hybrid because I wanted the cleaner to vacuum and mop my kitchen's tile floor. The mop attachment is at the rear of the cleaner, so it picks up anything that the vacuum brush leaves behind. Right off the bat, the robot tried to leave the kitchen and enter a carpeted hallway, which is not recommended when the wet mop is attached. I eventually used a box to block its egress and watched as it used a straight line pattern to completely clean and mop my kitchen floor. When it was done the floor looked as good as if I had mopped it myself. However, the robot couldn't find its way out of the kitchen toward the base, even after removing my box barrier. The same thing happened when vacuuming one of my bedrooms; the rugs were spotless, but the robot couldn't make it back to the charging base. I used the H68 Pro for several weeks and it always did a fine job of cleaning, but finding the base station was hit or miss.

If you're looking for a robotic cleaner that will mop your floors and vacuum your rugs, the Moneual Rydis H68 Pro Hybrid Robotic Vacuum Cleaner will fit the bill. It does a good job of both tasks, but its programming options are limited and there's no way to make it stay within a specific boundary like you can with the Roomba and Neato cleaners. The remote is a great feature that will come in handy, as the H68 tends to wander around aimlessly when trying to get back to its charging base. All told, the Rydis H68 is a capable robotic cleaner, but it'll need some fine-tuning to replace our Editors' Choice for robotic cleaners, the Neato XV Signature Pro.
